Abstract

Like all other higher education programs throughout the nation, the Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM) program at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) adapted to the novel circumstances driven by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Troy Bouffard has been an Instructor at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) since 2015. Prof. Bouffard is the designer and instructor for the Arctic Security graduate concentration and graduate certificate in the Master of Security and Management program. As a defense contractor, Troy is the co-investigator and program manager of the U.S. Northern Command/Alaska Command Arctic Defense and Security Orientation program. He is also a network coordinator for the North American and Arctic Defense and Security Network as well as a Research Fellow with the Centre for Defence and Security Studies.
