Abstract

This paper captures the University of Mississippi’s (UM) Department of Criminal Justice and Legal Studies’ response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

Jeffery Johnson, Ed.D is a Lecturer of Criminal Justice at the University of Mississippi (UM). Dr. Johnson is a former police officer with the Kansas Highway Patrol- Capitol Police. He serves as the criminal justice coordinator at UM’s regional campuses at Southaven, Tupelo, Grenada, and Booneville. Dr. Johnson earned a B.S. and M.S. in Criminal Justice from Washburn, a Graduate Certificate in Homeland Security from Texas A&M, and an Ed.D. from Delta State University.
