Abstract

In this edition of the Journal of Security, Intelligence, and Resilience Education, scholars from American and Canadian colleges and universities share their research and curricula development processes to advance homeland security, emergency management, intelligence, crisis leadership, public administration, and criminal justice. Ten scholars explore and examine analytical structures and modern educational approaches to prepare current and future policymakers and practitioners for topics such as ethical decision-making, emerging threats, artificial intelligence, public health crises, and experiential learning.

Sarah Bilotta is a Graduate Student and Graduate Research Assistant in Monmouth University’s Master's program in Criminal Justice with a Concentration in Intelligence Studies. Sarah’s research interests include geo-spatial intelligence, counterterrorism, and human trafficking. Her passion for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) allowed her to pursue an internship with FEMA Region 2’s geo-spatial unit. She holds a BS in Homeland Security from Monmouth University and a minor in GIS.
