George W. Contreras, DrPH(c), MEP, MPH, MS, CEM, is the Assistant Director of the Center for Disaster Medicine and Assistant Professor, Institute of Public Health, at New York Medical College. Dr. Contreras is an Adjunct Professor at Metropolitan College of New York, Adjunct Associate Professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and Adjunct Faculty at the University of Malaga and the Universidad CES in the School of Medicine. He possesses over twenty-nine years of experience in the fields of emergency medical services, disaster management, public health, higher education, and international response. He also works as a paramedic in New York City.

Mark J. Kittleson

Mark J. Kittleson, Ph.D., MCHES®, FAAHB, FAAHE, is the Chair and a Professor of Public Health at New York Medical College. Dr. Kittleson’s research interest is in the use of technology and web-based services in health behavior. He has worked at SUNY Brockport, New Mexico State University, and Southern Illinois University in a variety of academic positions.
